OpenSocial version of the Dapper Facebook AppMaker

The Dapper Facebook AppMaker is a platform and web interface for creating Facebook applications using content from any website via one or more Dapps.  You can test it out for yourself here:

The AppMaker has received a lot of press (here and there).

This bounty entails "porting" the Dapper Facebook AppMaker to the new OpenSocial platform. We will provide you with all the source code and a development server environment in which you can configure the application.  Just to be clear: this bounty is not for a Facebook or Opensocial application.  Rather, it's a platform that generates OpenSocial applications.

In order to qualify for this bounty, for which the prize is a new MacBook, your application must meet the following minimum requirements:

• Must run on Debian Linux using only open source software
• Must replicate all of the functionality of the Facebook AppMaker (where applicable, naturally some Facebook-specific features are not relevant).
  

Optional features that will greatly improve your score:

• Include three new features that utilize the "social graph" in connection to Dapps.  Here are some examples:
  • Use the person's favorite bands as input to a Dapp (like a concert search Dapp)
  • Inform a user's friends of content updates on a website
  • Take the names of a user's friends and supply them as inputs to a Dapp
